“One of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Japan, together with Ginkakuji and Himeji Castle. Majestic and calming scenery. Not as known to tourists as sites in Kyoto city proper, and therefore not as crowded.”(銀閣寺、姫路城と並び、今まで訪ねた最も素敵な観光スポットの一つ、荘厳ながら落ち着きさがある景色を見られるところです。
“We must have visited 30 temples during our 3 weeks, but this was our favourite.”
“Stunning and breathtaking reflection of the temple”(庭園の池に写るお寺の反射が魅力的)。
“Terrific small museum that encapsulates Japan and region. Spent an hour and a half in one room looking at incense containers. Who would have thought it would be so mesmerising.”(小さいのに日本やほかの地域の伝統を網羅している素晴らしい博物館です。
“The museum was interesting but my favourite part was the gardens. We came at the best time of year with all the autumn leaves on full resplendent display. The setting was very tranquil and you easily forgot you were in the middle of a busy bustling city.”
“It took some doing to get to this area, but it was worth the trip. The temple is up in the mountains in a much less populated area, and the location contributed to the lack of crowds which was a real plus. We took a lot of photos with no other human being in them!”(京都からちょっと遠いし、山の中にあるので観光客も当然少ない!
“Loved the garden and the little statues at this temple. Worth a visit when in Kyoto.”
